Opening tabs fast, holding cards safely, and closing out cleanly at the end of a busy night without losing tickets.
Two tax groups on one check
Food and liquor are frequently taxed at different rates, and in some cities the gap is enormous. A system running one rate across the ticket is wrong on every tab.
Speed at the well
Fewest taps to a common round. If ringing a beer and a shot takes four screens, your bartenders will batch and your inventory will drift.
Comps, voids and who did them
Bars lose money to unrecorded pours. Permission control and an audit trail matter more here than almost anywhere.

Square, Genius and Shift4 figures are published by those vendors and were read on their own pages on 8 August 2026. Toast and Clover figures are reported by Merchant Maverick, Expert Market, POSUSA, business.com and KORONA POS, cross checked against at least two independent sources each, because neither vendor publishes them.
