Clover is sold through a large network of resellers, and the reseller sets your processing rate. That single fact explains most of the confusion about what Clover costs.
Why two identical setups cost different amounts
Clover is the hardware and software platform. The merchant account behind it is sold by a bank or an independent sales organisation, and that seller sets your rate and your contract. Identical countertop hardware can carry very different economics depending on who wrote the deal.
This is why our fee calculator leaves Clover uncomputed rather than inventing a figure. There is no single Clover rate to compute.
